Riding in Europe for more than ten years, the 2020 Olympics will be an end to his prominent career in cycling. He is renowned as an inspiration for cycling in Japan and across Asia, being the first Asian rider to finish a Grand Tour. During his time riding for Bahrain Merida, Arashiro won the General Classification of Tour de Taiwan in 2018. His most notable result last season was finishing 2nd in his National champions road race in Japan.
