Hermann made the move into world tour cycling in 2018, following a successful tenure as a mountain biker. His transition was effortless and immediately showed his capabilities on a road bike with success at the GP Lugano. Two-second place finishes at the Tour of Japan and Tour of Austria along with a 15th place overall finish in his second grand tour, has exceeded expectations. His quick progress on the tarmac builds for an exciting season ahead in the Bahrain McLaren colours.
