At 24 years old, Novak is entering his fourth season in the pro peloton. This season, Novak improved on his silver medal in the Slovenian national championships, this time become the Slovenian National Champion. Still developing and learning as a rider, Novak is quickly showing his talent and will look to retain his title as the Slovenian national champion, alongside helping the team at the Grand tours.
