Phil Bauhaus withdraws from Tirreno-Adriatico after crashing

Follonica, Wednesday, 9th September - Phil Bauhaus has withdrawn from Tirreno-Adriatico after new medical tests revealed an infringement of the scaphoid of the left hand.

“Following the crash in the first stage - Team Doctor Carlo Guardascione said - a first X-ray was carried out, which revealed a suspected infraction of the left hand’s scaphoid. Yesterday, however, after the rider finished the second stage, Phil underwent a CAT scan which revealed a small compound fracture which led to the decision that the rider would abandon the race”.

Today, the rider will return to Germany for new medical tests to speed up his recovery.

Everyone on the team wishes Phil to return to racing as soon as possible.
