Sonny broke into the World Tour peloton in 2017 with Bahrain Merida, making a notable impact immediately, with his stage wins Paris-Nice, the Brabantse Pijl and the Coppa Bernocchi. While a sprinter by trade, he is an impressive climber and one-day racer too demonstrated by his top-ten finish at his first Tour of Flanders and second place in the general classification at the Deutschland Tour. Sonny’s all-round abilities and exuberant riding style make for an exciting prospect for the coming seasons.
