Damiano has been part of the peloton since 2009 and is well known for his all-round abilities. Despite mainly playing a supporting role for the teams GC contenders throughout his career, he has notable results in Grand Tours. His consistency has seen him place placed 8th overall at the 2015 Giro d’Italia, 9th at the 2014 Vuelta a Espana and 11th at the 2017 Tour de France. Darmiano will be a crucial rider for Bahrain McLaren at supporting the team’s ambitions in Grand Tours.
